The Audiology and Speech Therapy Unit at Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra (An EEDF Medicare Centre) provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for hearing, speech, and communication disorders. Working in close collaboration with the ENT Department, the unit caters to patients across all age groups: from infants with congenital hearing loss to adults with acquired communication difficulties.
Our services include pure tone Audiometry, Tympanometry, impedance Audiometry, and speech Audiometry for accurate hearing assessment. Special ENT tests help detect balance disorders, middle ear conditions, and other ear-related pathologies. Speech and language therapy sessions are conducted for individuals with articulation problems, voice disorders, stammering, delayed speech, and post-stroke speech impairments.
Congenital / acquired loss can be corrected surgically, using cochlear implantation for this purpose. Early detection and timely intervention are key to successful rehabilitation. The team works closely with ENT specialists and paediatricians to develop individualised therapy plans, incorporating counselling and hearing aid guidance where needed.
